I ordered this cook top for my studio apartment that does not have a stove. I love to cook and this hot plate allows me to do everything I need and want! Heats up quickly, easy to clean, sleek look and compact size. The one thing that I would mention is that it does take awhile for the burners to cool down after they are hot. Overall, absolutely wonderful and I am %100 pleased!

We are renovating our kitchen right now and this hot plate perfectly satisfies our cooking needs for this temporary lifestyle. Boiling water is not a problem however we keep our boiling to a large saucepan size and not a big stock pot. We have made all sorts of things and are doing better than 'getting by'. Once the kitchen is done, we will use it for parties in lieu of a chafing dish!

We are in the process of renovating our kitchen and are limited to a microwave, bar-b-q and hot plate. It was surprisingly inexpensive, and looks and works great! It does take a while to heat up, which I understand is an issue with any electric burner, but it allows us a lot more cooking versatility. I thought I would probably want to sell it at a garage sale as soon as our kitchen is done, but I think I will keep it around as a warmer when we have buffet dinners.

My stove went out and I have been able to use this as a daily tool. It would also be great for overflow burner for your regualar stove when you need a lot of pans. Would be great in a cabin or dorm room.

took three hrs to boil water. high setting is the same as the low. Used a couple of times and put it back in the box
